Job Overview
We are hiring a highly organized Dispatcher to act as a central hub of our daily operations. You will manage driver schedules, communicate with customers, coordinate with garages for vehicle maintenance, and utilize our dispatch system to keep all systems accurately updated.
Key Responsibilities
- Driver & Schedule Management: Coordinate daily routes, track field locations, and ensure drivers receive all necessary instructions and schedule changes.
- Customer Service: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, provide timely updates on delivery/ service statuses, and resolve escalated issues promptly.
- Maintenance Coordination: Liaise with garages and mechanics to schedule routine maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, and minimize vehicle downtime.
- System Updates: Log all calls, dispatches, and job updates accurately into the company’s dispatch management software.
- Overnight Support: Share or manage after-hours on-call duties to assist drivers and clients with overnight emergencies or support requests.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous dispatch, logistics, or transportation industry experience.
- Exceptional multi-tasking, active listening, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in modern dispatch software and GPS tracking systems,
- Ability to work flexible or rotating shifts, including managing overnight on-call rotations for emergencies only.
