The position will be responsible for preparing and assembling sandwiches, maintaining the deli counter, preparing ingredients for service, and ensuring all food is presented to Bar Romy's quality standards. The successful candidate will work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining cleanliness, organization, and exceptional customer service.

1+ years of sandwich making, deli, café, or food preparation experience preferred

Deli counter or food service experience is an asset

Experience with food preparation, portioning, and ingredient handling

Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food storage procedures

Ability to work efficiently and maintain consistency during busy service periods

Experience using slicers and other deli equipment is an asset

Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Prepare and assemble sandwiches, salads, and other menu items according to company recipes and standards

Slice meats, cheeses, vegetables, and other ingredients as required

Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked deli counter and prep area

Ensure all products are fresh, properly labeled, and displayed according to company standards

Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations at all times

Assist with receiving, rotating, and storing inventory

Conduct daily inventory counts and communicate shortages or ordering needs

Provide friendly and efficient customer service when interacting with guests

Support team members with prep, service, and cleaning duties as required
