Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and experience in grooming various breeds and sizes of pets. This role involves providing high-quality grooming services in a friendly and professional environment, ensuring every pet leaves looking and feeling their best. A strong focus on customer service is essential, as well as the ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting. Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and brushing for pets of all sizes and breeds
- Maintain a clean and sanitary grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly sanitized after each use
- Assess each pet’s coat, skin condition, and temperament to determine appropriate grooming techniques
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about grooming needs, preferences, and aftercare instructions
- Handle pets gently and safely throughout the grooming process, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently to accommodate client requests and maintain workflow
- Assist with inventory management by ordering supplies as needed and keeping track of grooming products
Skills
- Proven experience in pet grooming or a related field is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their pets
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger animals or moving equipment safely
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with animals of various temperaments
- Attention to detail to ensure high-quality grooming standards are met consistently
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the day
