Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Chairside Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support dentists during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain a smooth workflow within the clinic. Duties
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary supplies using CAD technology
- Manage patient records efficiently using dental software such as Epic and Dentrix
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Maintain infection control standards and ensure all equipment is properly sanitized
- Support front desk activities if needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
- Assist in lab tasks related to orthodontics or other specialized treatments
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of dental assisting procedures
- Familiarity with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology is preferred
- Experience with CAD systems for digital impressions or lab work is a plus
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Certification or training in dental assisting is required or preferred
- Prior experience working as a dental receptionist or in a clinical support role is advantageous
