About the Role
As a Welcome Hut Attendant at Long Beach Lodge Resort, you play a key role on welcoming our guests, you will be responsible for controlling and guiding the arrival process for guests and staff at the Lodge entrances, ensuring only authorized guests and staff are on property and to coordinate with various areas of the hotel to ensure public area occupancies are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Create an overall warm and inviting luxury atmosphere for all of our guests
- Welcome, control, and guide guests and staff entering and leaving the resort
- Inform guests of property amenities, services, and hours of operation, and local areas of interest and activities
- Communicate and partner with Guest Service Agents & Surf Club to ensure preparation for arrivals and surf lessons
- Maintain required documentation for arrivals
- Maintain awareness of any undesirable person in the resort and report if necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Genuinely passionate about providing outstanding guest experiences
- Warm, approachable, and professional communication style
- Able to remain calm and helpful in high-pressure or guest-recovery situations
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Reliable, punctual, and accountable when managing payments and sensitive information
- Able to follow safety and security protocols and use sound judgment when needed
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Available to work a variety of shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and be active for up to 10 hours per shift
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent bending, kneeling, lifting, pushing, and pulling
- Comfortable working outdoors in variable weather conditions
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
Additional Requirements
- Criminal Record Check: Required prior to start date.
- Reference Check: Two professional references will be contacted.
- Signed Staff Manual Agreement: required as part of onboarding, confirming understanding of workplace expectations and policies
