Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a cook. This role is ideal for someone with a background or interest in the food industry, including experience in food preparation, cooking, and food safety. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety and sanitation regulations
- Assist with meal preparation during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and prep/dish areas
- Follow proper food safety procedures to prevent contamination and ensure quality
- Support team members in delivering an excellent food service experience
- Manage inventory levels and communicate supply needs to the management team
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of food handling, safety regulations, and meal preparation techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or evenings if required
- Basic understanding of the food industry standards and practices
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work collaboratively within a team
