Title: Sewer and Water Foreman
Position Overview:
Ingimundson Construction Ltd. is seeking an experienced and reliable Sewer and Water Foreman to lead crews in the installation and repair of sewer and water infrastructure, including water mains, sanitary sewers, storm drains, and related systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical knowledge, and a commitment to safety, quality, and productivity, along with experience in site layout and grading to ensure proper flow and backfill.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, coordinate, and lead a crew of labourers, pipe layers, and equipment operators.
- Oversee the installation of sewer and water infrastructure in accordance with engineered drawings and municipal standards.
- Interpret grades and elevations and oversee layout and fine grading to ensure proper pipe slope, bedding, and drainage.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
- Coordinate daily tasks, materials, and equipment needs with the Project Manager.
- Inspect work progress, site conditions, and equipment to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot field issues and adjust plans or schedules as required.
- Complete and maintain all required daily documentation, including crew logs, production records, equipment tracking, and health & safety paperwork.
- Lead daily toolbox talks, hazard assessments, and on-site safety discussions.
- Promote and enforce compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Foster clear communication with site inspectors, engineers, clients, and subcontractors.
- Mentor, coach, and support the development of crew members on site.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sewer and water installation, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong working knowledge of grades, elevations, and layout for underground pipe installation and site grading.
- In-depth understanding of civil construction practices related to water, sanitary, and storm systems.
- Familiarity with testing procedures, backfilling, compaction, and inspection standards.
- Working knowledge of construction health and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Physically capable of working outdoors in a physically demanding environment.
- Valid driver’s license (Class DZ or AZ is an asset).
Working Conditions:
- Outdoor construction environment, exposed to varying weather conditions.
- Extended hours, including occasional weekends, may be required based on project demands.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and participate in physical tasks as needed.

Pay: $40.00-$46.00 per hour
