Job Summary:
The Bench is a casual, family-friendly bar conveniently located on the second floor of Cardel Rec South between Arenas 3 & 4.
Our menu offers more than just typical concession fare, with a variety of fresh, flavourful dishes, a tasty selection of local craft beers, and a special menu designed just for kids.
We are seeking a positive, experienced Cook who prides themselves on providing excellent service, and works well in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Station operation, serving and preparing menu items in accordance to specifications
- Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment
- Run various pieces of kitchen equipment
- Be knowledgeable about menu items, menus changes and food preparation procedures to ensure a amazing guest experience
- Be knowledgeable regarding allergy policies and procedures to ensure that guests are not at risk of allergic reactions
- Ensure safe food handling procedures are followed 100% of the time
- Consistently conduct yourself in a professional and positive manner
- Adhere to all policies and guidelines, checklists, prep sheets, and par sheets, as assigned
- Expedite on floor or in the kitchen as business demands
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements :
- Previous back of house experience would be considered an asset
- At least 1 year of experience cooking in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds, withstand high temperature conditions, bend, kneel, and stoop
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner with team members
