Summary
Heatherbrae Builders Co Ltd is currently seeking a full time Site Superintendent for a large multi-phase residential project that will take over 3 years to complete.
As the Site Superintendent, you will be working directly with the Senior Site Superintendent to ensure all aspects of the construction projects are completed efficiently. The Site Superintendent will also work closely with the Project Managers, Subcontractors, Suppliers and Owners to ensure the project stays on budget, on schedule and is completed to the highest standards.
This position is full-time and you will be required to attend site in person. All construction sites are located in Vancouver and throughout the Lower Mainland
Responsibilities
- Under the Senior Site Superintendent, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, organizing, directing and controlling the construction projects from start to finish.
- Assist the Senior Site Superintendent in overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Supervise and coordinate site activities, including managing subcontractors, trades and suppliers.
- Attend project meetings with relevant parties to monitor and support the project’s progress.
- Monitor quality control, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
- Review drawings, identify any potential conflicts and communicate them to the Project Manager for resolution.
- Ensure construction site is organized, clean and compliant with all safety requirements.
- Recruit and supervise tradespeople and site staff.
Candidate Requirements
- A degree in Construction Management.
- 5 years experience working in site management.
- Experience as a Site Superintendent working on high value projects (over $20mil).
- Experience working in residential, educational and institutional sectors.
- Experience in mixed-use wood frame and concrete construction
- Strong knowledge in construction processes including building codes, regulations and safety standards.
- Strong ability to be able to read and interpret blueprints, site plans and drawing.
- Ability to lead teams, multitask, and handle the pressures working in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Possess the ability to adjust and modify priorities to maximize productivity based on equipment availability and weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure all deadlines are met, and a commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards.
- A desire to grow within the industry and take on more responsibilities in the future.
