Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Support Workers to provide quality care to clients in their homes. This position involves assisting with daily living activities, ensuring safety, and promoting independence for individuals with various needs. The work hours are from 8:30 am to 11:00 am and 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm daily, offering a consistent schedule that supports work-life balance. Ideal candidates will have experience in assisted living, senior care, or home caregiving environments and possess a genuine desire to improve clients' quality of life through personalized support.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication administration as prescribed and monitor health status
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding if necessary
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment
- Support clients with mobility and transfer techniques, including heavy lifting when required
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Observe and report any changes in health or behavior to supervising healthcare professionals
- Assist with transportation for appointments or errands as needed
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice care, or home caregiving is preferred
- Knowledge of patient care procedures and working with individuals with disabilities or dementia is advantageous
- Experience in medication administration, meal preparation, and light cleaning is beneficial
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and patience
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform physically demanding tasks when necessary
- Previous caregiving roles involving senior care or working with individuals with special needs are highly valued
Pay: $20.30 per hour
