Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mobile Vehicle Electronics Fleet Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicle equipment and accessories across our customers fleet. Your expertise will ensure that all vehicles operate efficiently, safely, and meet operational standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for Electronics and in vehicle technology along with hands-on installation work to contribute to a fast-paced environment where quality and safety are paramount.
We do not have a main location, we are 100% mobile and complete all of our installations at our customers sites and locations throughout canada.
Responsibilities
- Install, modify, and repair vehicle Technology equipment including Cameras, GPS tracking, Tablets & Docks, Radios and other Electronic Devices as needed along with specialized hardware using hand tools and power tools.
- Conduct Installation and assembly of custom components based on schematics and technical specifications.
- Perform diagnostics on 12v and 24v vehicle systems to identify issues accurately. troubleshooting no power or signals to equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, crimping, electronic wiring and repair
- Maintain detailed records of installation procedures, repairs performed, and parts used using mobile phone apps on your mobile devices. Must have DATA and a good cell phone to complete your QC Sheets
- Assist in routine vehicle maintenance and site preventative contracts in order to keep and ensure equipment is in functional conditions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with electronics, vehicle or fleet type installation services, car audio.
- Strong mechanical knowledge encompassing 12v electrical systems, understanding installation of equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Skilled in using Multimeter hand tools, power tools, and other tools effectively.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for vehicle systems.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and safe work spaces while working on customer vehicles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with customer service experience to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various environmental conditions; attention to detail is essential for quality workmanship.
- Working outdoors for long periods of times, cold in the winter, heat in the summer, 90% of the work is completed inside the vehicles but there are times when outside the vehicle in conditions will occur.
- Own Vehicle, must be able to drive to and from job sites, own your vehicle and have your own tools to complete the work.
Compensation & Work Locations
- Travel will be 100% a part of the daily work, we work all over Canada (we are based out of Ontario. Extended Travel Costs are covered during these periods that extend outside a driving radius
- Pay can be discussed during interview stages, depending on your experience and responsibility we are paid mostly by the vehicle or day rate depending on responsibility and project scope.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Pay: $2,500.00-$5,000.00 per week
