YOUR NEW OPPORTUNITY
The Design Coordinator plays a critical role in facilitating collaboration and coordination between the Project, BIM, and sub-trades. Their primary responsibility will be to ensure the integration of design information and virtual construction processes throughout the pre-construction phase. The Design Coordinator will work closely with the project team and consultant teams to ensure construction milestones are delivered to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete project design coordination with oversight from Senior Design Managers. Coordinate requirements of internal and external stakeholders and communicate project requirements to entire group efficiently and effectively;
- Facilitate the integration of design information into virtual construction models and systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compatibility with project requirements;
- Taking detailed notes and creating agendas and minutes for meetings and break-out sessions;
- Clearly and concisely marking up drawings in Revizto or PDF’s to show issues to all affected parties;
- Updating Revizto and reviewing the most current set of drawings for issues and clashes.
Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of experience within a design or project coordination role, ideally within the residential construction industry;
- Educational background in design, architecture, or construction management;
- Foundational construction knowledge, including understanding of project delivery is an asset;
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and critically analyze architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and specifications, including identifying inconsistencies and clashes;
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with consultants, project managers, and site teams to resolve design issues;
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information;
- Highly collaborative, with a team-oriented mindset;
- Resilient and adaptable in managing ambiguity and shifting priorities.

The base salary range for this role is $65,000 to $75,000, adjusted for experience, plus a competitive bonus program. During the interview process, let’s talk to get the right fit for your experience level.
