Overview
We are seeking friendly, energetic, and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Host/Hostess/Busser. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they have a welcoming experience from the moment they arrive. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop hospitality and customer service skills in a dynamic restaurant environment. Prior restaurant or food service experience is a plus, but we value positive attitude and strong communication skills above all.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and manage reservations efficiently to ensure smooth seating flow
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus, answering any initial questions about the menu or specials
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including clearing and resetting tables promptly after guests leave
- Progression to server status by gaining valuable experience in this position
- Handle guest inquiries courteously via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for processing orders and payments accurately
- Support the restaurant team with general duties to enhance the dining experience and uphold hospitality standards
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe environment for staff and guests
Requirements
- Experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests and team members
- Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous; hotel experience is a plus
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to handle inquiries effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends
- A professional appearance and friendly demeanor that reflects our commitment to hospitality excellence
Pay: $17.60 per hour
