As our business continues to grow, we are expanding our production capacity and are looking for a skilled Painter to join our manufacturing team in Hawkesbury, Ontario.
Position Summary
The Painter is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing aerospace components and metal parts to high-quality standards. Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will play a key role in ensuring products meet both quality and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply paint, powder coating, and protective finishes to metal components using spray equipment.
- Select and prepare appropriate paint products and coatings.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, stripping, washing, filling imperfections, and removing corrosion.
- Operate and maintain spray guns, coating equipment, ventilation systems, and related tools.
- Inspect painted parts to ensure finish quality and compliance with specifications.
- Assemble painted components using hand tools when required.
- Identify, document, and report defects or quality concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications Required
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, automotive, or aerospace painting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Good manual dexterity and precision when working with tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of safe work practices, including lifting and material handling procedures.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
Preferred
- Post-secondary education in a related trade or technical field.
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with powder coating processes.
- Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment.
