Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest services, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role requires strong multitasking abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for hospitality. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS are highly valued. The Server will play a key role in delivering memorable dining experiences while maintaining efficient service flow.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately and perform cashiering duties
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support team operations
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed during service and handling
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Address guest inquiries promptly, providing excellent customer service at all times
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety standards in the food industry
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Knowledge of food preparation, serving techniques, and hospitality principles is a plus
- Food industry experience including serving, upselling, and guest services is highly desirable
