General functions
Under the overall supervision of the principals, and with the support of the Project Director of LEARN's Provincial Resource Team (PRT), the Project Development Agent is responsible for implementing various initiatives for students, families, and members of the school/centre community, and to contribute directly to their educational projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- In collaboration with the Local Partnership Table, the Project Development Agent will develop partnerships to support programs that address the needs of academic enrichment, recreation and social services for students, parents and the community;
- Engage the schools and community;
- Develop and maintain strong and positive relationships with the school community (students, families, teachers and partners);
- Investigate and access community needs and strengths to meet the needs of the CLC;
- Identify and connect with appropriate local community providers and government agencies;
- Coordinate and facilitate the recruitment and supervision of Activity Managers;
- Obtain special funding and assist in project planning;
- Meet regularly with the CLC Partnership Table, school staff and appropriate community providers;
- Participate in provincial networks of local project managers;
- Organize and maintain personnel files and documentation as required;
- Supervision of employees in CLC projects (in collaboration with management)
Work environment
- The work is normally performed in an office environment and/or other locations deemed necessary
- May require occasional work in the early morning, evening, or weekend
