Summer Camp Instructor
West Wind Gymnastics Club is looking for energetic, positive, and reliable Summer Camp Coaches to join our team for Summer 2026!
No gymnastics background? No problem! You’ll work alongside and learn from our experienced coaching team throughout the summer. If you love working with children, enjoy staying active, and want to spend your summer creating fun and memorable experiences, we would love to hear from you.
Our summer camps combine gymnastics, games, crafts, outdoor activities, obstacle courses, and team-building fun in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
Position Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage groups of children ages 4–12
- Lead games, activities, and camp programming
- Assist with gymnastics instruction and safe gym supervision
- Support daily camp set-up, clean-up, and organization
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and energetic camp environment
- Ensure athlete safety and follow all club policies and procedures
- Communicate professionally with fellow staff, children, and families
Qualifications
- Experience working with children is considered an asset
- Gymnastics experience is an asset but not required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, responsible, and professional
- Applicants 18+ will be required to provide a clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
Position Details
- Seasonal position: June 29th to August 28th
- Day Time Full Time (Must be available to work minimum 30hrs/week)
- Training provided
- Opportunities for future coaching positions may be available
- Starting wage: $16/hour
