A well-established multi-location retail organization is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its Finance team. This role will support financial reporting, operational analysis, inventory accounting, rebates, and management reporting within a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capabilities, experience supporting month-end close, and the ability to partner cross-functionally with Finance and Operations teams.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting schedules
- Analyze financial results, variances, and key operational trends
- Support inventory accounting, inventory reconciliations, and related reporting
- Manage and track vendor rebates, accruals, and supporting analysis
- Prepare management reporting packages and KPI analysis for leadership
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis
- Support internal and external audit requirements
- Maintain and improve financial controls, reporting accuracy, and process efficiency
- Partner with operational teams to support business decision-making
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting or financial analysis experience
- CPA designation or progress toward completion preferred
- Experience in retail, distribution, or multi-location environments is considered an asset
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis
- Exposure to inventory accounting and rebate programs preferred
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
