Position Summary
The Staffing and Recruitment Officer will be responsible for supporting the hiring and onboarding of restaurant staff for our Ottawa operations. The role involves coordinating recruitment activities, screening candidates, maintaining staffing records, and assisting management in meeting ongoing workforce requirements in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify current and future staffing requirements for Ottawa restaurant operations • Prepare and post job advertisements for kitchen, customer service, and supervisory staff • Review résumés and screen applicants • Coordinate and conduct interviews with candidates • Assist management with hiring decisions and staffing recommendations • Coordinate onboarding and orientation of newly hired employees • Maintain recruitment records, employee files, and staffing databases • Support workforce planning and scheduling coordination • Communicate with job applicants and external recruitment platforms • Assist with employee retention and recruitment initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field • Minimum 2 years of recruitment, staffing, or HR-related experience • Strong communication and organizational skills • Ability to manage multiple recruitment activities in a fast-paced environment • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online recruitment platforms

This position is based in Ottawa, Ontario and involves supporting staffing operations for local restaurant activities and recruitment needs.

Pay: $34.00-$38.00 per hour
