Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Family Legal Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide legal assistant support to our family lawyers, ensuring smooth operations within the firm. This is not a remote position.
Duties:
- Correspond with clients and receive incoming calls from prospective family clients
- Exhibit strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Perform data analysis and entry, document preparation including client agreements, Court documents and LTSA registrations including some clerical tasks.
- Assist in general management and coordination of up to 2 lawyers' legal matters including
- Utilize Leap, DivorceMate or similar software for document preparation and management
- Prepare and proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Management of monthly billings
- Maintain professionalism in all communications and demonstrate excellent phone etiquette
- Exhibit strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to write clearly and effectively for legal correspondence
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Family Legal Assistant with a positive attitude and a team mentality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively
