Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Junior Financial Analyst to join our clients Finance team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career finance professional looking to build experience in financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, and cost accounting while working alongside experienced accounting and finance leaders.
The successful candidate will support the Finance team by assisting with month-end reporting, financial analysis, budgeting, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare financial analyses and reports to support business decision-making.
- Assist in monitoring departmental budgets and analyzing variances.
- Help prepare forecasts and annual budgets.
- Analyze manufacturing costs and assist with cost variance reporting.
- Support the maintenance of the general ledger and financial records.
- Assist with account reconciliations and journal entries.
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses for management.
- Support internal and external audit activities by preparing required documentation.
- Ensure financial data is accurate and compliant with company policies and accounting standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting efficiencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments including Operations, Purchasing, Production, and Human Resources.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of accounting or financial analysis experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Basic understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP experience is considered a strong asset).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with cost accounting principles.
- Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools.
- Progress toward a CPA designation is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of financial planning and budgeting processes.

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
