Position Summary
As the Sales Manager, you will lead our estimating team to deliver competitive, profitable estimates that drive company growth. You will balance technical expertise in Xactimate with strong leadership, mentoring staff while maintaining high standards of customer service and project accuracy.
Wage: $85,000 - $110,000 annual salary
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership: Lead, mentor, and support the recruitment and onboarding of the estimating team. Foster a culture of accountability and professional growth.
- Estimating: Build detailed estimates in Xactimate according to insurance guidelines. Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure accuracy.
- Sales & Strategy: Manage the sales lifecycle from initial quote to signed contract. Work with the General Manager to align estimating practices with broader sales goals.
- Project Coordination: Create comprehensive work orders and provide ongoing support to Project Managers to ensure smooth transitions from sale to installation.
- Process Improvement: Identify efficiencies in estimating workflows, analyze performance data, and recommend cost-reduction strategies.
- Relationship Management: Act as a brand ambassador with clients, insurance representatives, and industry partners to ensure high customer satisfaction.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in roofing, siding, and exteriors (installer or sales/estimating background).
- Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Xactimate is required. Advanced literacy in Microsoft Office (Excel) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Leadership: Proven ability to mentor a team, manage large workloads, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-focused and self-motivated approach.
- Safety & Compliance: Understanding of company policies and Alberta OH&S safety protocols.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to conduct site inspections, including climbing ladders and navigating construction sites.
- Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Comfortable with extended periods of computer-based work.
