Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Rock Truck Operator to join our Yukon Mine. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy-duty rock trucks in various construction environments, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of materials. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, mechanical knowledge, and adherence to safety protocols. Responsibilities
- Operate rock trucks to transport materials across Mine sites efficiently and safely
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal functioning
- Assist with loading and unloading materials using compatible machinery such as loaders, excavators, or backhoes
- Coordinate with site supervisors to plan routes and schedules for material movement
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment
- Support other heavy equipment operations including dozer, grader, or paving machinery as needed
- Maintain accurate logs of material transport activities and report any equipment issues promptly
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as Caterpillar loaders, excavators, graders, or dozers in a construction setting
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting
- Prior experience with commercial driving, particularly operating large trucks in construction environments
- Familiarity with horizontal drilling, paving, or other specialized construction techniques is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work safely around heavy machinery and adhere to OSHA standards
- Construction industry experience preferred, with a focus on heavy equipment operation including loader operation, backhoe operation, and grader operation
This role is vital for the smooth progression of Mine projects, requiring technical expertise and a commitment to safety. The successful candidate will be integral to maintaining productivity while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
Pay: $22.50-$35.00 per hour
