The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Accountant who enjoys building from the ground up. In the early stages, this role will be more hands-on and administrative as you take ownership of day-to-day accounting and help stabilize operations.
As the business scales, your focus will naturally shift toward process improvement, systemization, and leadership—creating the structure that allows work to be delegated and teams to grow. This role is ideal for someone who understands that strong systems are built by first doing the work, then improving it.

What You’ll Do
Core Accounting
- Full-cycle bookkeeping (AR, AP, invoicing, trust accounting)
- Monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Financial reporting (monthly/quarterly)
- Budgeting support and variance analysis
Process & Scale
- Identify inefficiencies and improve workflows
- Build repeatable, scalable accounting processes
- Create documentation and systems to support future growth
- Support audits and compliance
Early-Stage Reality
- Support general office/admin tasks as needed
- Help create the foundation that allows us to hire admin support later
Who This Role Is For
- You have 5+ years of accounting or senior bookkeeping experience
- You think like an owner and take initiative

- You enjoy building systems, not just maintaining them

Experience & Skills
- Strong experience in AR, AP, invoicing, reconciliations
- Xero experience is an asset (not required
- Zoho experieince is an asset (not required)
- Buildium experience is an asset (not required)
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking
- Comfortable working independently in a small team

- Salary: From $41,600/year plus Bonus (growth potential)
