The ideal candidate is motivated, dependable, and eager to learn window installation. This is a hands-on role supporting experienced installers on site and gaining practical experience in the trade.
Duties
- Assist installers with the installation of windows and related components.
- Help remove existing windows and prepare openings for new installations.
- Support measuring and verifying dimensions.
- Assist with sealing, flashing, insulation, and weatherproofing tasks.
- Load, unload, and transport materials and tools on site.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow safety procedures and site requirements.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in construction.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy materials and working at heights.
- Basic knowledge of tools and construction materials.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Strong attention to detail.
Assets
- Experience assisting with window or door installation.
- Basic carpentry skills.
- Familiarity with construction sites and safety practices.
- Interest in developing skills in glazing and window installation.
Education
- Secondary School (preferred)
