Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Hotel Accounting Assistant to support our finance team. This role involves assisting with various accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring smooth financial operations within the hotel. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and experience with multiple accounting software platforms, contributing to the efficient management of accounts payable, receivable, and other financial tasks.
Duties
- Manage data entry for financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Workday, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, UltiPro, Kronos, ADP, and Paychex.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Perform account reconciliations to verify accuracy of financial data across various systems.
- Support payroll processing activities utilizing ADP, Kronos, Ceridian, or UltiPro platforms.
- Conduct account analysis and bookkeeping tasks to maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist in budgeting processes by compiling relevant financial data for review.
- Prepare reports related to financial services and support internal audits as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards during all financial transactions.
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, Workday, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, UltiPro, Kronos, ADP, and Paychex.
- Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of accounts payable and receivable procedures.
- Experience with account reconciliation and account analysis.
- Familiarity with payroll systems and processing (ADP, Kronos).
- Ability to perform bookkeeping tasks efficiently within various accounting platforms.
- Basic math skills for budgeting and financial analysis.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
