Summary
We are looking for a Logistics Manager to oversee and coordinate shipments of perishable and non-perishable goods from suppliers worldwide, ensuring all products are delivered accurately and on time to meet company deadlines. The ideal candidate will manage international supply flow, monitor delivery schedules, and work closely with suppliers, warehouses, and transportation providers to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of all goods.
Responsibilities
- Responsibilities include communicating and coordinating with transportation providers, including air freight, ground shipping, and other logistics companies, to ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods.
- Responsibilities also include managing and coordinating customs brokerage processes to ensure smooth international clearance of shipments.
- Negotiating rates and service terms with carriers to achieve cost-effective logistics solutions.
- Coordinate purchasing, procurement, and sourcing to maintain inventory levels.
- Implement process improvements to enhance supply chain performance.
- Utilize transportation management systems and warehouse management systems for effective operations.
- Analyze data to forecast demand and plan logistics accordingly.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in supply chain management or logistics within a retail/wholesale industry.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems, warehouse management systems, and transportation management tools.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data for decision-making.
- Leadership skills to manage a team effectively.
- Ability to coordinate multiple logistics functions simultaneously.
- The candidate must have the ability to work under pressure and outside regular working hours when required.
- Familiarity with procurement, sourcing, and demand planning.
- The candidate must have strong communication skills in English. Spanish is an asset (additional language preferred but not required)
