Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure exceptional customer service in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant experience, and a passion for hospitality. This role involves managing staff, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring the overall smooth functioning of the restaurant to deliver an outstanding dining experience.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate restaurant staff, including interviewing and training new team members
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food handling to ensure quality standards are met
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas
- Lead team management efforts to foster a positive work environment and motivate staff
- Monitor restaurant operations, including serving, hospitality, and customer service excellence
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to enhance guest satisfaction
- Oversee inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining proper stock levels
- Ensure adherence to health codes, safety procedures, and sanitation standards
- Coordinate with kitchen staff on food industry best practices and menu execution
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or food service leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Supervising experience with a demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
- Ability to manage cash handling procedures accurately
- Background in food industry operations, including kitchen experience or hotel/foodservice environments like barista or serving roles
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Previous experience in restaurant experience or hospitality is highly desirable
