Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our veterinary practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to a diverse range of animals, ensuring their health and well-being. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a focus on excellent patient care, client communication, and team support. Candidates with laboratory experience are highly preferred, as this skill enhances diagnostic capabilities and treatment planning.
Duties
- Examine animals to diagnose health issues and determine appropriate treatment plans
- Perform medical procedures including vaccinations, surgeries, and dental care
- Prescribe medications and monitor patient progress throughout treatment
- Educate pet owners on animal health, nutrition, and preventive care strategies
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure smooth clinic operations
- Utilize laboratory equipment for diagnostic testing when necessary
- Stay current with veterinary advancements and participate in ongoing professional development
Experience
- Veterinary degree from an accredited institution (DVM or equivalent)
- Valid veterinary license to practice in the state
- Laboratory experience is highly desirable to assist with diagnostics and testing procedures
- Prior experience working in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates willing to learn
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach towards animals and clients
