Job description
Via Verde Hydroponics owns and operates 45 acres of hydroponic vegetables and fruit. We are looking to hire for the position of Greenhouse Labour and Production Supervisor. This is a full time, permanent position which requires day and weekend availability. Candidate must have completed high school and have 1-2 years experience in the field. Supervisor will be responsible for training workers, managing more than 30 employees, maintain crop production reports, establish work schedules, resolve work related problems and handling heavy workloads and operating a forklift necessary.
Speaking Spanish is an asset. Must have own transportation to and from work. Supervisor will be working under hot/humid conditions in the greenhouse and cold in the warehouse. Hours vary due to crop production and crop cycle. Greenhouse Production and Labour Supervisor will report directly to the Grower.
