Title: Mainframe Developer
Location: Toronto, ON - Hybrid
Duration: Long Term
Reporting to Development Team Manager, Mainframe Developer design, develop and maintain the applications involving Mainframe- COBOL, DB2, CICS, VSAM and MQ Series to support the post trade business unit.
Key Accountabilities:-
- Technical design, and implementation (build/code), applications - COBOL, DB2, CICS and MQ.
- Contribute to application improvement and optimization (through code audits, architecture changes)
- Work with all team members in troubleshooting issues and bug fixes.
- Support the application in 24X7 environment.
Must haves:-
- Have 5-10 years of experience with IBM mainframe technologies such as; CICS, COBOL, TSO, DB2, VSAM, JCL, and MQ Series.
- Knowledge or related experience working in a mainframe development or production environment supporting financial services applications.
- Knowledge of software development practices, concepts, and technology obtained through formal training and/or work experience.
- Knowledge of required programming languages and can code with little oversight.
Nice to haves:-
- Knowledge of technical/business environment and processes.
