Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Support Workers to provide essential assistance to individuals in their homes. This role involves supporting clients with daily activities, promoting independence, and enhancing their overall well-being. The ideal candidate will be reliable, empathetic, and committed to delivering high-quality care in a respectful and professional manner.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort
- Help with household chores including light cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Administer medication reminders as directed by healthcare professionals
- Accompany clients to appointments or outings as needed
- Observe and report any changes in client health or behavior to supervisors or healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and client progress
Skills
- Compassionate with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions accurately
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism
- Prior experience in caregiving or home support is a plus but not required; training will be provided
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are preferred for assisting with outings or appointments
