Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Car Mechanic to join our automotive repair team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair, with experience working in dealership environments preferred. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest standards. Candidates should possess excellent mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
- Diagnose vehicle problems using schematics and mechanical knowledge
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools to complete repairs
- Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures, including heavy lifting and working with heavy parts
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to accurately identify issues and solutions
- Assemble vehicle components and ensure proper installation of parts
- Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs needed and ensuring customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience, preferably within a dealership setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and repair techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Experience with automotive repair, maintenance, and assembly processes
- Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting methods
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is preferred
