About The Role: Electric Love Bakeshop is searching for a cake decorator who is passionate about designing and decorating custom cakes, bakery-style cakes, cupcakes, and custom cookies. We're looking to add a second cake decorator/cookie decorator to our growing team!
Flexible hours and vacation time with every Stat Holiday off. We are closed on Saturdays, so you'll always have at least one day on the weekend to enjoy. You'll work in a great small team of 4-5 staff and have a lot of creative freedom when it comes to cake decorating.
We are searching for a talented cake decorator who is:
- Imaginative with design, both rustic and elegant
- Experienced with fondant and gum paste
- Able to work with florals as well as create fondant/gum paste figures and edible pieces
- Excellent at communicating, both in writing and conversation
- Patient with creating individual unique pieces and quick for production
- Interested in all types of pastry including cookies, pies, and squares
- Seeking to be independent and run their own department
- A team player for helping in baking production when needed
Requirements:
- Food Handler Certificate
- Ability to lift up to 20kg
- Pastry arts degree preferred
The position is currently available for (24-30 hours per week)
Compensation can be negotiated based on level of skill and experience ($20-$22 per hour)

Our bakery is 100% kosher and nut-free and sesame free, as well as caters to vegan and gluten-free clients upon request, but we can teach you everything you need to know about working with dietary restrictions and allergies.
