We have part-time and contract positions available and invite you to join our team that provides a strong learning and ongoing support for our staff. The Occupational Therapist will work collaboratively with other professionals to develop effective treatment plans tailored to each client's needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to enable children and their family to overcome their challenges and achieve and maintain optimal outcomes, by working independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
- Perform assessments on children’s occupational performance utilizing an evidence-based approach.
- Plan and implement outcome oriented services, and evaluate the effectiveness of the services.
- Demonstrate safe and effective resource utilization and quality management, and contribute to the development, review and promotion of occupational therapy services.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Stay updated on best practices in occupational therapy and participate in continuing education.
Qualifications
- A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC.
- Demonstrated ability to connect with children and their family.
- Knowledge of pediatric therapy practices is a plus.
- Being on the RASP list, preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate (orally and in writing).
- Demonstrated ability to provide effective consultation.
- Demonstrated physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
