This role is a strong fit for an experienced operations leader who enjoys working alongside a dynamic entrepreneur to bring ideas to life and turn vision into execution. The Director of Operations will serve as the CEO’s essential complement, harmonizing the major functions of the business, fostering accountability, strengthening culture, and driving sustainable traction.
What Success Looks Like
This is not a role where you’ll be expected to take the reins on day one. Instead, you’ll benefit from a thoughtful, phased onboarding designed to set you up for long-term success.
Working alongside the Owner, you’ll spend your first 6-12 months learning every aspect of the business, building relationships, understanding the operation, and identifying opportunities to improve processes, execution, and performance. By the end of your first year, you’ll be leading the business with the confidence, knowledge, and ownership mindset of someone who treats it as their own.
Your Impact
- Partner closely with the CEO/Owner to translate vision into clear priorities, practical action plans, and measurable results.
- Bring structure and accountability to strategic initiatives, ensuring ideas are executed and gain traction across the organization.
- Align people, processes, and priorities so the business is moving in the same direction and executing effectively.
- Identify operational improvement opportunities while respecting what has made the business successful to date.
- Lead with an ownership mindset, making decisions that support the long-term success and growth of the organization.
Operational Leadership
- Overseeing day-to-day operations across 2 locations, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and excellence in client service.
- Promoting a professional, compassionate, and accountable workplace that supports staff well-being and engagement.
- Managing and developing administrative staff, building cohesion between the administrative and clinical teams.
- Leading systemization, workflow improvements, and process enhancements to support sustainable growth.
- Identifying root issues behind operational challenges and implementing durable, long-term solutions.
- Driving accountability through thoughtful metrics, clear expectations, and reliable follow-through — reinforcing dedication without overpromising.
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience leading teams, ideally within a highly entrepreneurial or very fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrates a high sense of urgency, proactively driving work forward while keeping stakeholders informed through clear and effective communication.
- Brings confidence and sound judgment while remaining open to learning the business and its unique operating environment.
- Demonstrates a genuine commitment to the organization, taking ownership and consistently going the extra mile to achieve results.
- Possesses the self-awareness and humility to ask questions, seek support, and leverage the experience of others to make better decisions.
- Proven experience as a COO, Operations Manager, or senior operational leader, preferably within a professional services, counselling, or health-focused organization.
- Ability to handle a high volume of work and strong execution, prioritization, and decision-making skills
- A Growth-minded approach that embraces feedback, seeks continuous improvement, and balances excellence with grace.
- Comfortable making tough decisions and managing competing priorities while supporting a caring, mission-driven culture.
- Alignment with LGA’s mission to make mental health care accessible, understood, and valued for all.
