WHAT YOU’LL DO…
The Electronics Assembler supports the building and assembly of WeKid products in a safe, efficient, and quality-focused manner. Working alongside experienced assembly and automation professionals, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience assembling industrial electrical control systems while developing your technical skills in a growing manufacturing environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Read and interpret fabrication and assembly drawings including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and Bills of Materials
- Build, assemble, program, and wire PLC controllers
- Assemble electrical control panels, install, wire, label, and terminate electrical components accurately according to drawings, procedures, and production schedules
- Operate cutting, grinding, and drilling equipment safely. Use hand and power tools to layout, drill, cut, and assemble control panels.
- Assist with electrical testing, troubleshooting, quality checks, QC testing and final preparation for shipment
- Maintain organized work areas, electrical inventory, and accurate documentation
- Work with Quality Control, Engineering, Product Support, the Safety Committee, and Management to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist in creating and updating department standard operating procedures and instruction sets
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment
- Follow all company health and safety procedures and participate in safety-related activities
- Support accurate tracking of job time and materials within ERP
OTHER INFORMATION:
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Kelowna, BC (805 Crowley Ave, Kelowna, BC V1Y 7G6), working Monday to Friday on 8-hour shifts.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
- Electrical Technician/Technologist education an asset
- Basic knowledge of electrical components is an asset
- Previous hands-on shop, assembly, or manufacturing experience is an asset
