Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge in a wide range of carpentry tasks across various projects. This role involves performing complex installation, repair, and construction tasks across diverse projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. You will play a vital role in delivering durable and precise results for our clients while demonstrating leadership in project execution.
Responsibilities
- Construct, install, repair and maintain structures such as walls, floors, ceilings, doors, windows, exterior siding, trim and fixtures using hand and power tools.
- Perform framing work including metal stud framing, wood framing, and concrete forming with precision and efficiency.
- Install siding, roofing materials, cabinetry, flooring, tile, and other finishing elements to meet project specification.
- Perform restoration work on existing structures to meet safety and aesthetic standards.
- Lead or assist in heavy lifting operations safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion and quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Journeyman/woman in construction or manufacturing trades.
- Skilled in trim carpentry, frame carpentry, metal stud framing, and drywall installation.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods.
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures related to construction sites and manufacturing environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Handyman experience is a plus; ability to adapt across multiple trades is highly valued.
- Valid certifications or licenses relevant to the trade are preferred but not mandatory depending on project requirements.
