Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to provide high-quality care to individuals in need of assistance. This role involves supporting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their well-being in a respectful and caring manner. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings, and a genuine passion for helping others. Prior experience with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those living with dementia is highly valued. Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications following prescribed guidelines and safety protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe and comfortable living space
- Support clients with mobility and transfers to prevent falls and ensure safety
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals or family members
- Assist with transportation to appointments or community activities as needed
- Follow care plans accurately and document care provided in compliance with agency policies
Skills
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments is preferred
- Strong caregiving skills with a focus on senior care, dementia care, or working with individuals with disabilities
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols
- Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills and patience
- Ability to perform caregiving tasks such as cleaning, meal preparation, and personal hygiene assistance effectively
- Ability to work independently while also being a reliable team player
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs of clients and work schedules
