We are Bayview Vision Care, an independent Optometry Office & Eyewear Boutique with a history of over 20 years serving the Bayview Village neighbourhood right across from the luxurious Bayview Village Shopping Mall.
Our office provides full scale eyecare and myopia control services.
We need a friendly and hard working Optician/Optometric Assistant who thrives in a fast paced, busy and fun environment.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- An excellent communicator
- Detail-oriented, organized, and has great time management skills
- A reliable team player
- Able to adapt to changing environments when necessary
- Experienced in dispensing eyeglasses and contacts
- Experienced in preliminary testing (preferred)
- Professional, energetic, and committed to providing a stellar patient experience
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- work directly with patients throughout their visit including greeting them at the door, checking them in, training, submitting to insurance etc.
- scheduling appointments and follow ups.
- Guiding clients through thoughtful eyewear selection, styling, fitting, and dispensing all while demonstrating excellent customer service and product knowledge
- Entering lab orders and accurate patient information, following up with labs/ vendors as needed
- Repairing and adjusting frames
- Processing & receiving orders and inspecting for accuracy
- Inventory maintenance
- Lens edging
- Takes pride in the appearance of the store.
- Must be available Saturdays and some evening hrs.
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
