As a Pizzaiolo, you will be responsible for crafting exceptional pizzas using traditional techniques and premium ingredients in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen. You will prepare dough, stretch and top pizzas by hand, operate deck ovens, and ensure every pizza is cooked to perfection while upholding the restaurant’s quality and presentation standards.
Key Responsibilities
● Prepare and portion fresh pizza dough according to house recipes and fermentation standards.
● Hand-stretch dough and assemble pizzas with precision and consistency.
● Operate gas, or deck pizza ovens safely and efficiently.
● Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality.
● Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workstation in accordance with health and safety regulations.
● Assist with daily prep, inventory management, and restocking of pizza station supplies.
● Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure timely service during busy periods.
● Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning while minimizing food waste.
● Follow all company recipes, standards, and sanitation procedures.
Qualifications
● Previous experience as a Pizzaiolo or pizza cook in a high-volume restaurant.
● Knowledge of traditional pizza-making techniques and dough fermentation.
● Experience operating deck ovens is an asset.
● Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
● Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
● Excellent teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
● Food Handler Certification is an essential.
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
