We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors professionally at the front desk, providing excellent customer service.
- Manage multi-line phone systems, scheduling appointments, and confirming patient visits.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records using systems like Epic and Dentrix.
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including collecting insurance information and updating patient data.
- Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and correspondence to support clinical staff.
- Coordinate with medical professionals to facilitate smooth patient flow and appointment scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Support billing processes and insurance verifications as needed.
- Perform general office duties to ensure an organized and efficient work environment.
Experience
- Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a Medical Office setting is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Epic is essential.
- Knowledge of dental office software like Dentrix is a plus.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to healthcare documentation.
- Proven experience managing multi-line phone systems and front desk operations.
- Office experience in a healthcare environment demonstrating excellent organizational skills and professionalism.
- Previous administrative experience supporting clinical staff in busy healthcare settings is advantageous.
