Guitar Teacher for a Rockin' Music School
Job Summary
We're looking for a Guitar Teacher to join our enthusiastic teaching team starting in September 2026 for 3-4 days a week. Join our vibrant and dynamic music school as a Guitar Teacher, where you'll inspire students of all ages to develop their musical talents and love for guitar. This role involves delivering engaging, age-appropriate guitar lessons that foster creativity, technical skills, and confidence. Ideal candidates are passionate about music education, possess strong teaching abilities, and enjoy working with children in a fun and supportive environment. We are willing to train individuals who have the skill level to teach but haven't taught before, we are happy to work with new emerging teachers, let's chat!
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual guitar lessons tailored to students’ skill levels and learning styles, most students learn to play Rock & Pop style music.
- Create an encouraging lesson atmosphere that motivates students to practice and improve
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their individual growth and goals
- Incorporate school wide programming into your students lessons (practice challenges, seasonal music games and activities)
- Maintain a positive, energetic attitude that aligns with the school’s fun and creative culture

We are located in Shawnigan Lake (just 30 minutes from Langford). We have a lovely staff and offer a fun and organized work environment with supportive employers, fellow employees and great clientele. We take care of the office side of everything (you won't be chasing money or doing scheduling) and provide teaching materials and studio wide programming so teachers can focus on teaching and enjoy. We offer a competitive wage (based on experience and qualifications) per hour, not per student so you have guaranteed hours. We work hard to fill your schedule with eager students and to make teaching with our studio as enjoyable and organized as possible.
