Job Description:
As a Heavy Equipment and Truck & Transport Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy-duty equipment, trucks, and trailers. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience working with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and other mechanical systems related to heavy equipment and transport vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment, trucks, and transport vehicles.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and safety checks.
- Work on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and electrical components.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and identify potential issues before failures occur.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
- Collaborate with team members and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment or Truck & Transport Technician.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
- Valid driver’s license (Class 3 or higher is an asset).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
