About the Role
We are looking for an experienced CNC Programmer to join our growing machine shop. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, optimizing, and supporting the production of precision machined components using Mastercam.
Responsibilities
- Create CNC programs using Mastercam for 3-axis and 4-axis milling.
- Select cutting tools, workholding, and machining strategies.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models.
- Optimize cycle times while maintaining quality requirements.
- Support setup personnel and troubleshoot machining issues.
- Work closely with production and quality teams.
- Maintain organized program documentation.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of CNC programming experience.
- Proficiency in Mastercam.
- Experience programming 3-axis and 4-axis CNC milling machines.
- Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading.
- Knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds, and machining various materials.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred
- Experience with Fanuc controls.
- Experience machining stainless steel, aluminum, tool steels, and specialty alloys.
- Setup experience is considered an asset.
