About Us
Rocket Accounting is a growing CPA firm serving incorporated businesses across Metro Vancouver. We help business owners with corporate tax, bookkeeping, GST filings, and ongoing accounting support.
We're a small team that values responsiveness, practical advice, and building long-term relationships with our clients. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Senior Accountant who wants to contribute beyond just preparing files and be part of building something meaningful.
The Role
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of technical accounting work, client communication, and helping improve internal processes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and reviewing year-end files and financial statements
- Preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns (T2s)
- Reviewing bookkeeping and adjusting entries
- Communicating directly with clients regarding accounting and tax matters
- Assisting with CRA correspondence and client questions
- Supporting junior team members with technical questions and file preparation
- Helping improve workflows, templates, and internal processes
What We're Looking For
You likely have:
- CPA designation
- 5+ years of public practice experience
- Strong experience with compilation engagements and owner-managed businesses
- Experience preparing corporate tax returns and financial statements
- Confidence working directly with clients
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Additional experience reviewing work prepared by others or mentoring junior staff would be considered an asset.
