We are looking for a Walls & Ceiling Technician Journeyman at Allied Contractors Inc. who can complete the installation of drywall materials at commercial construction sites. In particular, we are looking for a person who can expertly carry out boarding, taping, mudding, and finishing activities as we aim to be the best subtrade.
For this position, a suitable person would possess:
- At least 6 Years of Work Experience in Commercial Construction as a Framer, Boarder, Taper, Finisher
- High School Diploma
- Understanding of safe work practices in the construction industry
- Strong hand eye coordination and attention to detail
- Physical stamina and strength to lift and move 50lbs without mechanical assistance
- Ability to work in a large team of varied trades and skill levels
- A visual eye to see the finished space is beneficial
Wherein, you can help us:
- Understand work plan and materials specifications for each project
- Install drywall boards made of gypsum, plywood, and wood pulp
- Complete high-volume taping and mudding with precision
- Finish each section of drywall to add an element of craftsmanship
- Follow all site safety protocols and client work rules fully
- Report any hazards or problems to the Lead Hand and Field Supervisor
