Job Summary:
BM Packaging Services Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant to join our team on a temporary full-time basis for a 9-month contract. The successful candidate will have prior bookkeeping and administrative experience and must be proficient in Sage accounting software. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- Previous bookkeeping and administrative experience is required
- Hands-on experience with Sage accounting software is mandatory
- Related industry experience is considered an asset
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and office administration procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada for the full duration of the contract
Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping functions using Sage accounting software
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Prepare invoices, apply payments, and maintain accurate records
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts
- Assist with payroll administration and record maintenance
- Prepare financial reports and support month-end processes
- Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems
- Perform data entry and ensure accuracy of financial information
- Manage office administration tasks including correspondence and document preparation
- Coordinate schedules and provide administrative support to management
- Respond to internal and external inquiries in a professional manner
- Perform additional bookkeeping and administrative duties as assigned
