Our client, a well-established manufacturing organization in London, is seeking a full-time permanent Maintenance Electrician to support the ongoing operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment within their facility. This hands-on role is responsible for troubleshooting electrical issues, performing preventative maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and supporting production through timely maintenance activities. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, highly organized, and experienced in industrial electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:
Electrical Maintenance
- Inspect electrical equipment, wiring, fixtures, and related components on a routine basis to ensure functionality and code compliance.
- Diagnose electrical malfunctions and develop effective repair or maintenance plans.
- Repair and maintain electrical systems, circuit breakers, wiring, equipment, and other electrical components.
- Test systems and equipment using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and ohmmeters.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to support repairs and installations.
- Assess equipment condition and recommend replacements when necessary to reduce risk and improve reliability.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and materials used.
Maintenance Management
- Participate in preventative and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime and support production.
- Follow and contribute to Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Assist with the safe removal, disposal, and replacement of defective equipment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend enhancements to maintenance processes.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Valid 309A Electrician License (required).
- Minimum 5 years of licensed industrial electrical experience in Canada.
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and related regulations.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficiency reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Extensive knowledge of wiring methods, conductors, cables, conduit systems, grounding, and distribution equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Experience supporting production operations in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational skills with experience planning, tracking, and documenting maintenance activities.
- Experience with control systems, building systems, fire alarm systems, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic systems is considered an asset.
- Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
