We’re growing and seeking a General Manager to lead our operations, with a focus on equipment and tractor management.
Position Summary
As General Manager, you will oversee day‑to‑day operations of our rental and sales division — including tractors, heavy equipment, and service teams. You’ll lead staff, manage customer service excellence, drive profitability, and ensure smooth operational flow across departments.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
- Lead, motivate, and develop staff across departments (rental, sales, service).
- Recruit and train employees, set performance goals, and conduct evaluations.
- Create a positive, customer‑focused workplace culture.
Operations
- Oversee daily equipment rental operations (including tractors and heavy machinery).
- Ensure inventory accuracy and maintain service schedules.
- Enforce safety compliance with provincial and industry standards.
Sales & Customer Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and community partners.
- Drive equipment and tractor sales strategies.
- Address escalated customer concerns professionally.
Financial Management
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Maximize profitability through strategic pricing and inventory control.
- Analyze business performance and recommend improvements.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience (preferably in equipment rental, construction, agriculture, or related industry).
- Strong mechanical aptitude (especially with tractors and heavy machinery).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead a diverse team.
- Experience with inventory systems and basic financial reporting.
- Valid driver’s license required.
